
Stay Moving: Strength and Conditioning for 30+
What is Stay Moving?
Stay Moving helps those who are 30-50 years old and are still unable to participate in traditional group exercise programs because of a recent illness, trauma, surgery or chronic issue that limits their fitness level. Has a recent illness, trauma or surgery set you back in your activity level? Have you completed physical therapy but you haven’t been able to get back to the things you love. Do you have a nagging knee or shoulder that keeps you from being able to participate in traditional group exercise? Have you completed the Rediscovered Movement program and are ready for the next step up your fitness journey? Stay moving, is made for you.
Continue to build strength and function
This is an intermediate intensity group exercise program. We will be challenge you. But we will pace exercises and modify to adapt to your current fitness level and physical limitations. Build upon your gains from therapy. We will help you get reconditioned. Exercises can be modified as you recover from a trauma. We are here to have you succeed.
Get back to living a full life
We want you to get back to the activities you love. We want to optimize your level of fitness, what ever level that may be. Through this group strength and conditioning program, we will work to improve your balance, strength and endurance. We will work with you to build confidence in movements you have been away from. Who can participate in Stay Moving?
- Open to adults 30+
- co-ed
- Those recovering from a surgery, trauma or illness that make participation in traditional programs difficult
- Those will have a chronic condition that limits their fitness capacity that makes participation in traditional programming difficult.
- Individuals may ambulate independently, or use assistive devices, or wheelchairs.
When is STAY MOVING offered?
- This program is offered throughout the year
- Open to adults 30+
- Co-ed
- Those recovering from a surgery, trauma or illness that make participation in traditional programs difficult
- Those will have a chronic condition that limits their fitness capacity that makes participation in traditional programming difficult.
- Individuals may ambulate independently, or use assistive devices, or wheelchairs.
- Participants must be able to follow directions from the lead facilitator.
- If participants need assistance with following directions, a support staff must attend and assist the individual at the program.
- If you need assistance finding support, please contact STAR. We may have 1:1 mentors available.
- Participants will be held to the STAR Center Code of Conduct
