Wheelchair Rugby

All out, leave it on the court

What is wheelchair rugby?

Do you like fast action?  Wheelchair rugby is a paralympic sport that is about speed.  Break out from the crowd and charge across the goal line. Use you wheelchair skills challenging your agility to get open, and your speed to score.  There is a lot of action in wheelchair rugby with the offense setting pick and rolls and blocking, and the defense trapping their chairs from progress.

Fast action

The pace of the game is fast.  A team has 40 second to move the ball up the court and score.  Players must pass the ball every 8 seconds. So it requires a team effort.  Typically rugby is considered a contact sport. At STAR we tame it down so more people can play it safely.
