What is power soccer?

Using a power chair does not have to take you out of the action. Power soccer is the only team sport designed just for power chair users. Do you have limited function of your upper extremities? You can play. Do you use a mouth piece to drive your chair? You can play. Power soccer was made for you.  Show off you driving skills on the court. Power soccer will challenge you.  Demonstrate your agility and maneuvering skills as you “dribble”, pass the ball to your teammate and shoot to score a goal.

Guards supplied to adapt your chair for play

Advanced power soccer players use specialized power soccer chair. At the recreational level “guards”can be attached to your power chair to allow you to enjoy this fun team sport.  A extra large soccer ball is used to play. The game is played on a court with 4 players. Power soccer requires skill and strategy. From powerful wheelhouse corner kicks, to the fine chair control to pass the ball, there is plenty of challenge and fun in this game.

Learn from experienced players

The STAR Center has partnered with Whitetail Power Soccer. They have years of experience in playing power soccer in the USA Power Soccer League.  We welcome their expertise as coaches. They will teach you all you need to know to enjoy this team sport.

When is power soccer offered?

Currently we have offered power soccer as a “pop up”  thru out the year.  We would like to see this program grow. If you are a power chair user and would be interested in trying this sport please contact us. We will reach out to you when sessions are planned.
