Ease into Movement: Arthritis
What is Ease into Movement: Arthritis and joint discomfort?
This program is designed for individuals with Arthritis or limited joint mobility. Individuals may have arthritis from rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, other auto-immune disorders or osteoarthritis. Regardless of the cause of your joint discomfort, this program will focus on gentle low impact strengthening, conditioning and mobility exercises.
Gentle motion, big gains
Gentle motion improves the nourishment of the joint surface and decreases pain. Strengthening the surrounding muscles protects the joints from undo strain. We will work with light weights to improve muscle strength and endurance. Balance exercises and fall prevention are practiced during each session to build confidence and independence.
Modified to your personal limitations
Throughout the program we are sensitive to your mobility challenges and modify exercises to not irritate underlying joint limitations. Exercises can be be done standing or seated. Our exercises are focused on improving how you function in your daily life. Our goal is to get you back to doing the things you love.
