Adaptive Team Handball
What is Adaptive Handball?
If you have never tried team handball you need to check this out. You are missing out on a really fun game. It is played on a basketball court but the goals look like hockey nets. The ball is soft and smaller than a volleyball. Sound a little crazy? Yes, it is crazy fun!
Teamwork is key
The best thing about team handball is that everyone is involved. Teamwork is the only way to move the ball down the court and score. You can only hold the ball for a short time. You must pass it to a team mate, bounce it, or try to score a goal. So everyone is always looking for their teammates. It is a fast and high scoring game.
Learning the game is easy
The skills you need for team handball are ones you probably already know. Throwing, catching, and bouncing a ball. The size and the weight of the ball makes it easier than a basketball. With the goal at ground level team handball is a wonderful sport for those who find overhead activities challenging. The coaches and volunteers will make sure you have time to practice your skills. During our warm up and drills, we get our muscles fired up and work on our flexibility, strength and balance.
