Learn about our Membership opportunities:

Starting in Feb. 2025, we will be transitioning to a membership structure. We will be implementing a new and easier registration process and software. You will have your own personal portal to see your schedule and to explore new opportunities. You will not need to repeatedly fill out forms from each session. We have developed different membership levels to fit individual needs and interest.

Although our primary mission is to serve the needs of those with disabilities we recognize that family members and caregivers need good physical activity to be healthy. We invite family members to participate in our inclusive programs, adaptive and para/wheelchair sports, and to use our new Adaptive and Inclusive Aerobic and Strengthening Center while their family member is involved in classes.  They are also welcome to participate in our specialized exercise programs as space allows.

How to Register for a Membership?

Full descriptions of cost and benefits are listed below.

• Choose which best fits your situation.
• Follow the link at the bottom of the description to start your membership application.
• You will be asked to set up a user name and password for your personal STAR MEMBER PORTAL.
  • Using this portal you will not need to fill in your personal information again for registering of each session of classes and recreation/sport opportunities.
• Memberships will be charged via “auto pay” to the payment source of your choice. (card or auto draft from you bank account ACH).

All memberships may be cancelled with written notification.

Family and Scholarship Opportunities:

Primary Member vs. Secondary Member?

The “PRIMARY MEMBER” is defined as an individual with a disability or impairment to physical activity. Secondary Members are family members without disabilities. Due to small class sizes, priority enrollment will be given to PRIMARY MEMBERS for our specialized exercise classes.

Financial Assistance Opportunities:

The STAR Center offers Financial Assistance to those with disabilities who are in financial need and do not have outside funding sources. Our scholarships are a sliding scale based on household income.

What’s the Next Step?

STAR Center Waivers:

After your have completed your registration form you will be receiving an email that will request completion of necessary waivers. These must be completed prior to participating in any STAR related activity.  They will be requested on a yearly basis.

The email will also refer you to the STAR  MEMBER LOGIN PORTAL where you will sign up for individual specialized classes, adaptive and inclusive recreational and para/wheelchair sport opportunities.

Registration for STAR Center Classes, Sport, and Recreational Opportunities:

Our program schedule runs on approximately 8 week sessions. Registration for each session is open 3 weeks prior to start of the session.

STAR provides all necessary adaptive sport equipment and protective equipment for use by our members. All you need is comfortable tennis shoes and clothes that allow you to move.

All memberships can be cancelled with written notice.

$100/month  (auto paid monthly)

Includes 4 family members (additional family members  $20 each/month)

BENEFITS

• Unlimited access to recreation and sports programs
• Unlimited use of STAR Aerobic and Strengthening Center
• Primary Member: up to 3 Specialized Exercise Classes per 8-week session
• Secondary Members: may participate in specialized exercise classes as space allows.
• FREE  Member Only Game Nights and Social Events
• Welcome gifts: STAR hat for each member, water bottle for each member, shopping bag, 2 window decals
• 4 “Bring a Friend” passes

All memberships can be cancelled with written notice.

For individuals who utilize a private foundation, county or state funding source to pay for their membership.

(examples CLTS, CMN, IRIS, Inclusa)

$40/Month  (filed monthly to funding source)

For individuals who would like to participate in a single class for one session (8 WEEKS).

$22.50/month auto billed

• May participate in one class or sport per 8 WEEK session
• NO access to the Adaptive Aerobic and Strengthening Center
• NO access to Member only game nights or Social nights
• Welcome Gifts: hat and window decal with first session registration.
• 1 FREE “Bring a Friend” Pass

A day pass allows a guest of a member to participate in STAR Center activities for a day.

*Waivers must be signed before participating in STAR Center activities.
