All individuals with Parkinson’s Disease regardless of age and disease progression. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease looking to improve their tone, rigidity, and overall function and slow disease progression. The keep moving, lower intensity exercise program is specifically for those with more progressive symptoms. Individuals who use assistive devices or use wheelchairs will find this an appropriate class. Most of our exercises will be preformed while seated, or standing with assistive devices.
Scholarships are available. No one will be denied participation due to financial concerns.
Veterans with a disability are able to participate in STAR programs for free.
The STAR Center provides all equipment necessary for each program.
Social and refreshment time will follow each of our sessions. This is an opportunity for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their Care Partners to talk with one another and build a community.
The STAR Association follows CDC, State and County Health Department recommendations for COVID Mitigation. We recommend that all who are eligible to get a vaccine to do so. Masks, social distancing and proper hand washing will be required at all STAR programs.
