Modifications will be made for individuals as necessary. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease looking to improve their tone\, rigidity\, and overall function. Individuals do not need music experience to participate in this program. \nScholarships are available. DESCRIPTION:What is Brain & Body Fitness?\nBrain & Body Fitness is designed specifically for people living with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementias to maintain current functioning and increase socialization. Brain & Body occurs in a small group setting completing exercises that focus on brain and body health to improve physical fitness and mood. An early intervention for dementia diagnosis\, this class is a non-threatening way to remain active in the community. Brain & Body Fitness has been shown to improve physical fitness and mood in people living with dementia. The exercise program is safe\, effective and a fun\, social program taught by trained facilitators. \nWho can participate in Brain & Body Fitness?\nAny adult with a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementia. DESCRIPTION:What is Brain & Body Fitness?\nBrain & Body Fitness is designed specifically for people living with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementias to maintain current functioning and increase socialization. Brain & Body occurs in a small group setting completing exercises that focus on brain and body health to improve physical fitness and mood. An early intervention for dementia diagnosis\, this class is a non-threatening way to remain active in the community. Brain & Body Fitness has been shown to improve physical fitness and mood in people living with dementia. The exercise program is safe\, effective and a fun\, social program taught by trained facilitators. \nWho can participate in Brain & Body Fitness?\nAny adult with a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementia.
