PLEASE CONTACT START IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. 608-797-6295 or info@starcenterlacrosse.org \nAdaptive Kayaking is a program of the North American Squirrel Association (n.a.s.a.). \nThrough their generous support\, individuals with physical challenges\, cognitive impairment\, blind and visually impaired\, elderly\, and Veterans are able to participate for FREE. \nWho can participate:\nAnyone\, youth and adult\, who has a mobility or cognitive challenge that makes participation in traditional programming difficult. This program is co-ed. \n\nSpina bifida\nSpinal cord injury\nCerebral palsy\nCongenital limb issues\nAmputations\nLeg length discrepancy\nShort stature\nMuscular dystrophy\nParkinson’s disease\nMultiple sclerosis\nMotor dyspraxia\nLimited range of motion\nBalance issues\nPost stroke\nBlind and visual impairment\nDown syndrome\nAutism spectrum\nLearning disabilities\nCognitive impairments\nLow muscle tone\nOther congenital syndromes\n\nIndividuals may ambulate independently\, or use assistive devices\, or wheelchairs. \nWhat to bring:\n\nWater bottle\nComfortable clothing that can get wet\, including shoes\nSun protection\nSun screen and bug spray\nParent or care partner is welcome to attend\n\nThe STAR Center provides all equipment necessary for each program. \nQuestions? info@starcenterlacrosse.org or 608-797-6295 \nIn case of inclement weather\, the STAR Association reserves the right to cancel a session.
