DESCRIPTION:This program is open to individuals of all abilities 16+. This program is designed to welcome and orient new members to the STAR Center facility and programs. Participants will learn how to use STAR adaptive equipment and develop an initial exercise plan to use independently in the center. Participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions about STAR group exercise programs in order to find the best fit for their abilities and goals. Individuals will complete a comprehensive checklist to ensure understanding and competency of the equipment. \nWho can participate in Fresh STARt: Introduction to the STAR Center?\nIndividuals 16+ who are interested in coming to open gym times or working out independently. Participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions about STAR group exercise programs in order to find the best fit for their abilities and goals. DESCRIPTION:Who can participate in STAR Strong: Strength and Conditioning Section 2?\nAnyone\, 12+ who has a mobility or cognitive challenge that makes participation in traditional programming difficult. This program is co-ed. Individuals may ambulate independently\, use assistive devices\, or wheelchairs. \nFinancial assistance is available. No one will be denied participation due to financial concerns. \nEligibility and Criteria: \n\n12+\, co-ed\nDesigned for individuals of all abilities\nParticipants must be able to follow directions from the lead facilitator.\n\nIf participants need assistance with following directions\, a support staff must attend and assist the individual at the program.\nIf you need assistance finding support\, please contact STAR. We may have 1:1 mentors available.\n\n\nParticipants will be held to the STAR Center Code of Conduct\n\nWhat to bring:\n\nWater bottle\nComfortable clothing\n\nThe STAR Center provides all equipment necessary for each program. \nQuestions? info@starcenterlacrosse.org or 608-797-6295 \nIn case of inclement weather\, the STAR Association reserves the right to cancel a session. SUMMARY:Fresh STARt: Introduction to the STAR Center
DESCRIPTION:This program is open to individuals of all abilities 16+. This program is designed to welcome and orient new members to the STAR Center facility and programs. Participants will learn how to use STAR adaptive equipment and develop an initial exercise plan to use independently in the center. Participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions about STAR group exercise programs in order to find the best fit for their abilities and goals. Individuals will complete a comprehensive checklist to ensure understanding and competency of the equipment. \nWho can participate in Fresh STARt: Introduction to the STAR Center?\nIndividuals 16+ who are interested in coming to open gym times or working out independently. Individuals may ambulate independently\, or use assistive devices\, or wheelchairs. \nEligibility and Criteria: \n\nAges 16+\, co-ed\nDesigned for all abilities\nParticipants must be able to follow directions from the lead facilitator.\n\nIf participants need assistance with following directions\, a support staff\, mentor\, or care partner must attend and assist the individual at the program.\n If you need assistance finding support\, please contact STAR.
