SUMMARY:2026 La Crosse Area Parkinson's Walk and Awareness Event
DESCRIPTION:The STAR Center\, in partnership with Overhead Door of the 7 Rivers Region\, invites you to join us for the 4th Annual Parkinson’s Walk and Awareness Event. \nThis year’s event will take place on Saturday\, May 9th\, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Myrick Park in La Crosse. Activities will include a one-mile walk\, children’s activities\, food trucks\, Parkinson’s-specific resource booths\, live music\, exercise demonstrations\, raffle baskets\, and a silent auction. \nThis event raises awareness within the La Crosse community while supporting local and national Parkinson’s resources. Proceeds benefit STAR Center Parkinson’s Disease Exercise Programs\, the La Crosse Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group\, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation to advance research toward a cure. \n\nRegistration can be done online or day of. The walk is free but donations are encouraged. There is also an optional $20 t-shirt fee. T-shirts must be ordered by April 17th at 12:00 pm. \nAfter registering you will receive a confirmation email and link to the STAR Center Waiver of Liability. Please take time to complete this waiver before attending the walk on May 9th. \nEvent Timeline: \n10:00 am: In Person Registration and T-shirt Pick Up Opens \n11:00 am: Opening Ceremony \n11:15 am: Walk Begins (1 mile loop) \n12:00-2:00 pm: Resource Booths\, Live Music\, Food Truck\, Children Activities\, Exercise Demonstrations
