SUMMARY:Can't Stop Me- Rock Steady Boxing
DESCRIPTION:Who can participate:\nAll individuals with Parkinson’s Disease regardless of age and disease progression. Modifications will be made for individuals as necessary. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease looking to improve their tone\, rigidity\, and overall function. Individuals do not need boxing experience to participate in this program. \nScholarships are available. No one will be denied participation due to financial concerns. \nVeterans with a disability are able to participate in STAR programs for free. \nWhat to bring:\n\nWater bottle\nSweat towel\nComfortable clothing\nShoes suitable for activity\nBoxing gloves and wraps (if you have them)\nCare partners are welcome to attend and participate with you\, at no extra cost\n\nThe STAR Center provides all equipment necessary for each program. \nSocial and refreshment time\nSocial and refreshment time will follow each of our sessions. This is an opportunity for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their Care Partners to talk with one another and build a community. \nCOVID-19 disclaimer\nThe STAR Association follows CDC\, State and County Health Department recommendations for COVID Mitigation. We recommend that all who are eligible to get a vaccine to do so.
