DESCRIPTION:What is Inclusive Pickleball / Tennis?\nYou have the choice between Pickleball or Tennis- feel free to change each week! Both of these sports are inclusive and will allow you to play against your friends and family with and without disabilities. Improve hand-eye coordination\, basic racquet skills\, and connect with other individuals who love the game of pickleball or tennis. \nWho can participate:\nAnyone\, youth and adult\, who has a mobility or cognitive challenge that makes participation in traditional programming difficult. This program is co-ed. \n\nSpina bifida\nSpinal cord injury\nCerebral palsy\nCongenital limb issues\nAmputations\nLeg length discrepancy\nShort stature\nMuscular dystrophy\nParkinson’s disease\nMultiple sclerosis\nMotor dyspraxia\nLimited range of motion\nBalance issues\nPost stroke\nBlind and visual impairment\nDown syndrome\nAutism spectrum\nLearning disabilities\nCognitive impairments\nLow muscle tone\nOther congenital syndromes\n\nIndividuals may ambulate independently\, or use assistive devices\, or wheelchairs. \nWhat to bring:\n\nWater bottle\nComfortable clothing\nPickleball paddle (if you have one)\nSun protection\nSunscreen and bug spray\nParent or care partner is welcome to attend\n\nThe STAR Center provides all equipment necessary for each program. \nQuestions? info@starcenterlacrosse.org or 608-797-6295 \nIn case of inclement weather\, the STAR Association reserves the right to cancel a session.
